Romwe Review: June 10, 2016.

Hi everyone! I'm here with another review for Romwe! If you've been with me for a while, you've probably already heard of them. They're a Chinese wholesale clothing site that sells a wide variety of styles (so even if you don't agree with how I dress, give it a try)! As I said a few reviews ago, look out for their super pretty swimwear, tees, and tanks for the summer!
As you can also see, this review isn't up on my Tumblr XD. I just made a blogspot and wanted to try using this for reviews (and other ramblings) in the future! On mobile, "read more"'s don't actually work, so my review posts really spam people when they're first posted ; n ; This should fix it up a bit, though!
*EVEN THOUGH THIS IS SPONSORED, IT'S SUPER HONEST*

So I'll be cover 6 items in this review:

So the review portion for the first two (V-neck White Chiffon Dress + Lace-up Elastic Belt) will be sort of combined. I actually ordered the belt since:
1. I needed one of these types of dress belts.
2. Honestly,I don't think that flowy boho-chic look really works for me. I really like when dresses are tighter around the body around the waist.

Hence, I thought that these would look great together! And in my opinion, I wasn't wrong!

So, here were the pieces! I chose to place them on a white blanket. How smart... *sigh. I outlined the dress if you can't see it though haha ; u ; . Anyways, the quality of both were pretty good. The ends of the sleeves have elastics, which make this really easy to wear. With lots of these loose dresses with long sleeves, I constantly come up with the issue of thee sleeves moving up and down. This one has it that covered pretty well.
In terms of the belt, the back of the base that the lace is attached to seems kinda paper-ish. However, I ran it under water and put it out to dry and nothing was damaged :D. I'm still unsure about how long the elastic will last, though. The difference in colours between the center and the band was a bit more distinct than I thought it'd be.

Here's me in the dress! Based on my opinion, I like with the belt a lot more. Regardless of the garment, I feel that the width and material of the belt really gives dresses + etc. a real body-con look around the waist area. If you're a fan of the flowy boho-chic look, going without a belt is completely fine!
My ultimate favourite thing about this outfit is definitely the sleeves of the dress. I adore the way that they suspend when you bend your arms, but still form nicely when you extend them.
Along with the shorter dress length at the front and the v-neck, the sleeves really gives is a more simplistically majestic look to it. This outfit kinda has a "goddess" vibe. ; u ;
If you're getting the dress, I strongly advise that you get the belt with it (it's only like $4 more). The belt is also pretty versatile. I probably would wear it with any type of dress that needs to gather more tightly around the waist or just on any dress or skirt + top outfit that needs an extra touch to it! It would even look great on some colours of body-con dresses!

Dress:

Design: 4/5
I'm just being critical about this, but I'm just not the fan of the flowy, straight-down dresses.

Quality: 5/5
No complaints for this! It was fairly soft. It came in the mail with quite a few wrinkles, but that's expected with this material. Thus, it takes lots of ironing to keep intact.

Comfort: 5/5
Comfortable! As I said earlier, the elastic sleeves really help prevent the sleeves slipping around. c:

Belt:

Design: 4/5
The center part and the elastic are more distinct than I thought it would be. Hence, it looks sort of like a piece attached to an elastic in oppose to a unified belt. Other than that, it looks great!

Quality: 4/5
The front part felt like it shouldn't be taking too much water at once (rinsing it briefly at most). Also, it smelled like a swimming pool when it first came. Luckily, the smell came out after washing.

Comfort: 5/5
No complaints here. There's nothing in particular that makes it uncomfortable ; u ;

So let's move on to the Bell-sleeve Chiffon Salmon Blouse! This piece actually came in a different package, which was sent by Canada Post instead of DHL. It was originally part of this package, but took a bit longer to process and was sent off later using regular shipping. This took a total of more than 2 months!

It actually has two strings, at the center of the collar area that can be tied together. Thus, the length of the collar area can be changed. I, however, believe that it looks best when it's tied (in a butterfly knot) as close as possible, using all the string ; u ;

I think that the focal point of this garment is the bell sleeves. However, the blouse can lack neatness at times, especially when it's windy, since the sleeves can slide up and down your arm. It's kinda what the V-neck White Chiffon Dress prevented with its elastics at the wrists. If you don't mind that, this piece is absolutely amazing~
The whole loose style of this top gives it a chill vibe. It is also a cute variation of the "cold-shoulder blouses" that have been floating around this summer.
I would wear this with brighter-colored shorts (preferably white or denim). It would also look great with a denim button-up skirt ; u ;. Due to its summer-like nature, you could also throw it on top of swimwear when you get cold at the beach! Preferably, the swimsuit would also consist of lighter colours.

Design: 4/5
I'm not too big a fan of how the sleeves move around so much >< other that that, it's amazing!

Comfort: 5/5
No real complaints here!

Quality: 4.5/5
The material is rather thin and may be more prone to rips. So far, it's pretty durable, though!

Next, let's move on to the "Apricot" Button-up Skirt. The reason why apricot is is quotations is because it wasn't an apricot colour at all. While apricot is much pinker, this is definitely a khaki. This colour didn't even match what was in the photo. Luckily, however, I've actually been looking for a khaki button up skirt (possibly even more than an apricot-colored one). Hence, this worked out for me.
Another surprise was the fabric. It is actually very thin in comparison to my denim and black button-up skirts. It was a lot thinner and flimsier.
However, I was pretty satisfied with it regardless. Unlike an actual apricot skirt, khaki is really easy to match with other clothing since it's a neutral colour. It really gives that preppy look to an outfit; thus, I think it works well with this high-neck white tank and auburn cardigan. I really stayed with those calmer colours, which are popular in the western world. I think that it can also work well with other neutral colours in addition to low-saturation dark colours (navy, auburn, army green, etc.). Especially with knits! For a more casual look, it can go well with simplistic tees c': Truly, it's a versatile garment.

Design: 5/5
I have no problem with the exterior. It looks super cute in so many diff kinds of outfits ; u ;

Comfort: 5/5
No real complaints here. I feel like I never have anything to say here XD I might take this category out next review :p.

Quality: 3/5
I'm sorry, but this fabric is just so super thin. When unbuckling the skirt by pulling on the fabric,, I'm kinda paranoid that the fabric will rip. It's not my favourite material, but I can live with it.

Next, let's take a look at the Gun-silver Round Glasses! These are actually so cute omg. I've been looking around for some wire round glasses and these were great! They actually came in this handy glasses case, which will actually be super useful in the future! I actually sometimes use it to store makeup tools in my purse.
They have this over-sized effect that gives it a really cute nerd style to it. However, I'm not sure if it's just because I have a pretty deformed face, but the lenses seem a bit too far apart for me. Also, as with any fake glasses, you can see lots of glare on them when you're looking at someone wearing them. From the perspective of the person wearing them, they're fine. Other than those points, however, it seems great!

Visibly, it also works well as an instagram prop loool. Personally, I think it looks best with preppy outfits and anything that's part of the korean fashion tumblr aesthetic at the moment. It's not too helpful towards a refined, classy look. Rather, it's for a more cute, wondering look c':.
And here's meee ; u ; sorry 4 my face sob. I actually had to use my front camera and a hand mirror because the front-facing camera sucks.

Design: 4/5
Docking a mark for the wide-apart lenses... other than that, it's super cute!

Comfort: 4/5
Since I how a low nose-bridge, it slipped down my face quite easily.

Quality: 4/5
The opening and closing of it seemed a bit stiff.

Lastly, I'm going to be reviewing shoes for the first (and possibly only... lol) time ever! Romwe let me pick out either a bag or shoes, so I picked these shoes! I was actually super hesitant to get shoes since shoe sizes deviate so much, but these actually fit perfectly! In my opinion, they were quite true to size. I took a EUR36, which was about a women's 6.5 in American sizes. Although the website measured the heel at 9cm, I measured it to be about 3 in (7.5 cm). It's a bit of a higher heel, but I really need it since I'm so short ;_________;

They came in a shoebox with tissue paper stuffed into them to retain their shape. If I were to complain about anything, however, it would probably be the shoelaces. although they look completely fine, they're made of this bungee-like material. This makes it harder to tighten since it stretches once pulled. I guess this is a minor thing, however, since shoelaces are cheap and easily bought anywhere. ; u ;

So this is me posing in them lool (sorry for the bad quality ;_;). They make my legs look so much better and don't look to bad on my feet either. I've actually been looking for heeled boots for a while now and I think these are the ones! I haven't worn them out yet, but as far as I know, they were fairly comfortable. There wasn't much contouring in the shoe, but it was fine regardless.
Since they're more on the western side, I would probably pair it with more western styles. Try to lean towards neutrals or dark colours with clothing + it looks great with floral and other vintage prints! It's more preppy than anything, so keep that in mind when pairing! Knits work great and so do turtlenecks! In general, it's very versatile due to its colour and simplistic style. They are a great pair of heeled boots that really do its job!

Design: 4.5/5
I would probably make the tips less sharp, but other than that, it's super perf <3

Comfort 4/5
The shoes are fairly comfy, but like all heels, they are not the best for walking around for long periods of time. The inside is pretty flat, so it's not really designed for comfort.

Quality: 4/5
A mark off for these bungee laces... ; n ; Since I have much higher standards for shoes, these are amazing considering the price (at call it spring, the same heels would cost $60+ on sale).

Overall Ratings:

Communication: 5/5
Communication was great + the Romwe rep was very kind as always c':

Shipping: 3.5/5
I'm just averaging the shipping for the apricot blouse (2 months) and everything else (1 week). I found the shipping for the blouse a bit unreasonable; I even thought it was lost in the mail for some time. The other one, however, was shipping with express shipping as usual and came promptly.

Overall: 4.33/5
I was very satisfied with everything in this package. I was Even though I gave them the lowest ratings, my favourites would probably be the Black Lace-up Heels and the Gun-silver Round Glasses! Regardless, I'll probably wear all of them a lot!

Thank you, Romwe, for sponsoring me!
AND THANK YOU FOR READING MY LONG REVIEW <3
