Romwe Review: December 13, 2016 (Part 1)
Hi, everyone! I've been a bit down lately, but I wanted to show you guys some new looks! Hence, I'm back with Romwe! Although it's sponsored, I'm truthful.
Since I'll be reviewing the items I got from my recent package plus some accessories I missed in my past packages, this will be quite long. Hence, I split it in 3 parts! I also thought that my reviews were getting wayy too long, so hopefully more people will be able to read through now! Part 2 is here and Part 3 is here.
Today, I'll be reviewing the following:
- Double Loop Pendant Choker ($2.99)
- Plaid Hooded Top ($19.99)
- Plaid Pleated Skirt ($17.99)
- Raccoon Pocket Blouse ($10.99)
- Black Thin-rimmed Glasses ($8.89) (sold out, but similars here and here)
So let's start with the Double Loop Pendant Choker! Honestly, This choker is the one that really started my fascination (although it's like my 3rd one lol). There's just something about this one. It's quite natural, but also sorta edgy. Also, super versatile. I've been wearing it with lots of knits and also the Plaid Hooded Top, as you will see later.
Anyways, here's me with it! I might like this one so much because I can wear it as loose as I want an it'll still look good. The pendant is plastic, but still doable. Its blackness reminds me of my dark personality haha (so it's perf for meee).
One thing that I want to point out about this is that it actually did fall apart on me a couple of weeks into having it. It was fixable, though; it was just the black necklace part came loose from the metal clamps near the buckle, to which I just pushed it back in place.

Super cute. I literally forgot this in my pencil case one day and found it another day, when I realized that it went with the outfit I was wearing that day and I just wore it again XD.

I gotta take points off for the detachment, though. :( It's expected for the price, though.

As comfortable as your usual choker.
Now, for the Plaid Hooded Top. This is actually one of my favs right now. It's so cute and casual. Plus, it's great to just throw on in the morning.
I ordered a medium, but it ended up being the perfect size for me (which was strange, since I usually take a small). I sorta wanted a more baggy look for this one, though. So if you're into that, remember to size up two sizes!
In terms of quality, everything looks really well put together and I have no complaints there. It's a bit on the thin side, though.
I usually wear this with leggings, but it looks really cute with pretty much all black bottoms. I also brought the Double Loop Pendant Choker because I thought it was perfect to fill up the vacant neck space XD. This outfit (or even the top in general) is sorta punk-ish, but I think it's easy to pull off!
The first round of pics was actually in super bad lighting, so the next two are a bit better of photos lol.

Next, let's look at the Plaid Pleated Skirt and the Raccoon Pocket Blouse! I took the overview photos of them together since they look so nice together!
In terms of the Pleated skirt, I was really satisfied with it! I've been looking into getting a plaid pleated skirt for the longest time and this is great quality! Not only is the quality thick and durable, but it has "shorts" sewn beneath it so you never have to worry about flashing people (which I'm always paranoid about, esp with short skirts like this)! Although the "shorts" are made of like polyester and aren't of best quality, they are def a bonus for this. The colours are also on point.
On the other hand, the raccoon blouse is also super cute. The design is so unique and it's perfect for a nerd like me haha. About two of the button holes weren't cut when I got it, though; hence, I had to cut them myself (seemed that they were sewn shut by accident :<). The material is thin and easily wrinkles, but that's what you usually expect from blouses.
Let's talk about the pleated skirt first. It's so cute. Although it might not go with everything, it does a great job completing a cute outfit. Personally, I love the way that this matches my bowknot blouse. It's definitely great for your "kawaii casual" look.
I also wore it with a cardigan for a sorta "Japanese schoolgirl" look. I think that the skirt definitely completes this outfit.

Now, for the blouse. I also employed the skirt for this since it looks so bomb with blouses. I think that the blouse looks really cute with cardigans for a "bookish" look! In my opinion, the knit + raccoon design look gives a uniquely cute vibe.

Lastly, let's take a look at the Black Thin-rimmed Glasses! Although they're sold out, Romwe is selling similars here and here. Also, you should take a look at all their fake glasses! Recently, their "retro lenses" game is super lit tbh.
Anyways, these glasses came is this really good quality case, which was def great. It also ensured that the glasses wouldn't break on its way here!
Now, let me say this: these are my favourite fake glasses ever. I only got contacts starting in January, but these glasses really hit the spot when it comes to thin-rimmed bookish glasses for me. They're not too round, but they're just round enough c': The size of the lenses is also perfect!

Honestly, it's hard to pick my favs in this group because everything was so cute. If I had to choose, though, it'd probs be the Double Loop Pendant Choker and the Plaid Hooded Top ; u ;. I was suuuper happy with everything here, though!
